Howling Moons Story Arc
On the 24th of Sun’s Dusk (Nov 24th 2017), the Konozay Khaja guild was visited by long time friend and witch Elyna Draconis who bore confusion in the form of a note that was nailed to the guild’s gate door. A plea for help, to search for an Altmeri scholar that had ventured into the area to conduct some sort of research. Only Shai-ra and Saahna were present to answer the plea with Elyna, and they set off towards the last known location of the scholar.
This brought them to a suspicious little cave, naturally made but… unnaturally decorated. With an old werewolf den of some sort, it had become apparent this scholar was in deeper trouble than our guildmates had anticipated. Luckily most of the beasts were snoozing, and the trio ventured in to find the scholar gagged and tied to a ceremonial stone altar. However, before they could free the Altmer, an assassin clad in the Brotherhood robes stepped from the shadows and put an end to the scholar. After a scuffle, this assassin led a foolhardy chase through the den that led our guildmates to the pack leader herself, Namriian.
Unable to avoid a conflict as the pack leader spotted them all, Shai-ra, Saahna, and Elyna fought and killed the alpha werewolf. The assassin got away, and our friends managed to barely stumble out with their lives.
Two days later, a group of three werewolf bosmer infiltrated the guild estate with the intent to raid the place and find those responsible for their leader’s death. Instead they found Yuni, Dazur, Ethi, and Varda by the forge! Caught unawares, the four engaged these beasts in combat to prevent them from getting deeper into the guild. For reasons unknown, Dazur was replaced with Shai-ra in the middle of the battle. The battle was difficult as our guildmates were woefully unprepared for a werewolf invasion, but they managed to take down the intruders. Now the question lies in what the Konozay Khaja was to do about this hairy mess…
A meeting was held on the 2nd of Evening Star (Dec 2nd 2017), where several members and allies gathered to discuss their options. Ally Elyna Draconis supplied information from her time tracking the pack: the large group of werewolves had split in two, with one group going towards Reaper’s March and the other staying in the area. She suggested there was were disputes within the pack, and they split over if this leader should be avenged. She and the dunmer Meridia follower, Calra Milvamonte, agreed to gather more information. With the hope of avoiding further bloodshed, the guild decided to go the dangerous route of attempting peaceful resolution…
By kidnapping a werewolf, finding out who the next beta-wolf would be, and ensuring some sort of ultimatum was made to the pack to stop these attacks. Maybe even get them to move out of the lands…
Stay tuned to see how this all works out! Or join your claws with the guild and help protect these lands.

The Grand Opening of the Konozay Khaja was a grand success this last Evening Star, 2E 585 (8 December 2017), many were those who attended, from old trevana (friends) to new faces who entered the gates of our guildhall and were welcome with open arms to our festivities!
Despite not being able to perform all the activities because of the tight schedule, the event itself took the majority of the day with a tour of the Estate's grounds and magnificent performances upon the stage of the market!
Many thanks to all who have attended the official opening of our guild and the beginning of many good times to come in the future!

On the 27th of Morning Star, the Heroes of Wrothgar gathered in the Bosmer village of Deepwoods
to return the sacred Sapling of Y’ffre
back to the sap people. Much to the apparent chagrin of the attendees, there was a short Honor’s Ceremony held by Thalmor Officer Kaseylia Lystraalende to recognize and award those that risked their life and limb for this curious plant. The following were recognized by the stunning Altmer and given illustrious tokens of appreciation from the Aldmeri Dominion
Kilasera - a serpentine sword of ruby
Saahna - a sturdy blade of the finest Mathiisen steel
Ma’Jack - a stout dagger of Dwemer alloy
Kishama - a frosty elven dagger
Dar'Ethi - a hefty greatsword of dark metals
Arravela - a fiery slim longsword
Elyna - a venomous green short sword
Shai-ra - a golden sabre of Khajiiti make
Following the Honor Ceremony, the villagers of Deepwoods stepped forward while being led by their Treethane Nilara. With her wise guidance, she asked witch Elyna and Bosmer Mielikki to step forward and be recognized under the eyes of the forest. All three of them, including Shai’s mate Akisha, sang a song of strength with their hearts to bring a breath of life to the Sapling for its replantation. Then Elyna and Mielikki were whisked away to be a part of the glorious maiden-filled ceremony to honor the Tree of the Lady and to finally return the Sapling to its rightful place beneath her roots. Like a breath of someone thought dead, the forest around the village came back from the darkened brink.
The maidens of the ceremony picked their loved ones out from the gathered crowd, signalling the end of ritual formality and the beginning of boisterous celebration! More music and dancing ensued, peppered with plenty of Bosmeri cuisine. All of our heroes were slathered with attention, from the curious Bosmer children to the village folk bearing bone carved trinkets of appreciation.
Truly, there wasn’t a more fitting ending to the harrowing venture that put a stop to an Endless Winter.

17th Sun's Dawn a festival, in the spirit of Heart's Day, took place at the Altmer Embassy near Elden Root to honour Mara and celebrate love.
A priestess of the Divine Mother welcomed the celebrants, and spoke about love and its manyfold nature.
After that the attendees were encouraged to give Bracelets of Love to their loved ones and remind them what they feel for them.
People spent the rest of the evening dancing and socializing, some of them in the company the Lottery of Lonely Hearts gave them.

On 28th of Sun’s Dawn, Dar’Ethi had led an investigation to take statements and note clues given by the villagers on the missing merchants. Several relatives and key survivors of attacks mentioned a rocky pass at some point of the journey, and the keen investigator concluded that this pass was the most logical point for a bunch of desperate werewolves to ambush unsuspecting travellers.
The group consisted of Konozay Khaja member mainstays and others that heard the rumors and decided to join in: Dar’Ethi at point, with Shai-ra, Saahna, Ma’Jack, Ahzri, Ma’dra-dar, Mojsien, and Astrydia following suit. They had found a discrete path walled in by beautiful natural rock formations, with lurking shadows unseen to them in the bright Elsweyr sun. It was evident with the broken merchant carriages, smears of dried blood, and shattered merchandise that this was the pass in question-- and they were undoubtedly not alone.

An ambush! The band of scraggly marauding werewolves pounced from their hiding places. It was a bloody affair. The Bosmeri werewolves and their lupine brethren were savage, driven to desperate measures as they fought at first for their next meal. And then it was to fight for their own lives, as the tables eventually turned to favor the Konozay Khaja and company.

Perhaps it was the ferocity of the khajiit as Saahna cleaved one of his packmates’ head in twain with a fiery sword, or the mere fact that the group was equipped with an abundance of silver, that the werewolf pack leader Bylio put two-and-two together. This was the very guild that murdered the once great pack’s original Alpha: Namririian. He would call out in rage, but his words were of terror. Something bigger was coming, and it was because of the actions of the Khajiit guild. A something called Rewyliian.
Shai-ra heard this, and with only Bylio and another bosmer named Cryllian left of the onslaught, attempted diplomacy. Others attempted intimidation. And yet another attempted sedation. The last ultimately won, as Ma’dra shot Bylio with an arrow laced with a powerful sleep-inducing drug. The werewolf, surprising, went down swiftly after. Cryllian acted in panic, trying to attack Saahna from behind. The adept fighter responded in kind, delivering an effective knockout punch to the female bosmer. With two survivors at their mercy, Shai-ra makes the order to capture them alive for questioning on this… Rewyliian.

The Cathay-raht accompaniment named Mojsien… thought differently on these orders, however. He attempted to finish what was started, driving the end of his sword into the middle of the KO’d Cryllian who then awoke with pained cries. The guild became immediately defensive, as Ma’Jack went to heal their prisoner before she bled out entirely. With weapons drawn and wary eyes on the Cathay-raht, Mojsien lowered his own weapons and bowed out of the situation before it became dire for him. Prisoners resecured and stable, the remaining group returned back to the Konozay Khaja estate.
Whenever Bylio wakes next, what will this guild learn?

On the 4th of First Seed, the Konozay Khaja set upon their assault on this Rewyliian character. Armed to the teeth with silver, including explosives procured by guild friend Ma’dra-dar, they set out with captured werewolf Bylio leading them as a tracker. The guild had acquired a team plentiful in skill and experience, including mainstays Shai-ra, Dar’Ethi, Syrrveliza, Saahna, Kilasera, Ma’Jack, and Shazah. A curious altmer by the name Eltariel Darkrose joined their number as a hired mercenary heeding the call of the rumors that had spread.

It was known that Rewyliian gave her whole self over to the Hunt in her quest of vengeance against the khajiit guild, but the group was not expecting to see the scene of her last gruesome meal. It was a small khajiiti settlement, torn asunder by tooth and claw. The roving band of wolves and tigers that took to following Rew left nothing unmarred by their hunger, making a makeshift den out of the camp’s fortifications. There were no survivors. Ma’dra-dar’s scouting proved that there were too many predators for them to charge in, so Syrrveliza smartly threw a bomb in the thick of the den.

Panicked, the wolves and tigers that weren’t too heavily damaged flooded out of the den and into the waiting blades of their conquerors. They still had an impressive number left, and the group had to work together in order not to get pinned down! Kilasera was pinned in such an instance, though luckily Saahna acted quickly by impaling the offending tiger with her sword before Kila’s head could be bitten off. Though after a mysterious spike-bomb thrown by a hidden figure aiming to redeem himself, the predators were no longer a concern to the group.

Finally, from within the cave, the abomination of the Hunt stalked out and into the cacophonous chaos. A hulking figure the size of a small home, eyes aglow with a primal hunger red and dark patchy fur matted with the blood of its last meal. The creature had bony spikes protruding from its arms and legs, and it brought with it the suffocating presence of primal fear to the group. This was no longer the Bosmeri woman, Rewyliian. There was only the Hunt. This was an Apex Predator, and it will be feared as such.

Between battling their instinct to flee and the sheer opposition of their quarry, the guild had a long and hard fight. The silver brought with them definitely helped, as Syrrveliza’s shadow-imbued silver knives bore scorching holes into the Beast’s chest and other blades made sizeable cuts. Skillful attacks to the legs by the previously hidden Mojsien brought the creature low, while Dar’Ethi maddeningly climbed up its back-- unfortunately, he was thrown off violently not long. Between all of this, and a well-timed argentum bomb from Ma’dra-dar, the Beast finally began to realize that it has failed its Hunt. This epiphany comes just in time as Kilasera swiftly ran up its front, stabbed her swords into its heart and lungs, before continuing on to deliver the killing blow of an ice-conjured blade through the Beast’s skull.

Bylio, unable to attack his former Alpha, watched as Rewyliian died twice. Once, to the Hunt. And again, to those she had dubbed the Hare. He wouldn’t mourn for long, though, as he had Cryllian to pick up from the guildhall and a region to get the hell out of. Hircine willing, the two will never have to see the Konozay Khaja ever again...
