"Word is the Bramblescar Clan's lookin' ta grow. Ya know, the one's got the orcs an' lizards runnin' around with bosmer. Lot o' them is mercs, but I think I seen some kids, workers an' old people too. They got this Hold up in Cormount, big scaley one with a shield's usually guardin' the place, seen a few thornslingers walkin' the middle boughs too. An' that vine bridge off inta the hills? Wasn't there a year ago, guess they got a greenspeaker all their own. Jus' like the place they're livin', they got uh-... parts I guess? Ya know, stuff they need ta make it work. Roots fer sustainin' itself, sap fer keepin' it goin' strong, bark ta keep it all safe, an' thorns ta bleed it's enemies. Don't think it's any kind o' divisions, just a way o' lookin' at it, yeah? Might send my brother that way, he's not doin' so well down in Haven, altmer comin' through with their fancy armors, no one's buyin' bone nothin' these days. Real shame if ya ask me, nothin' beats a good senche-bone arrow 'tween the eyes."

"You wouldn't believe what I saw passing through Grahtwood the other day. A Breton! He says he's here to do honest work in exchange for coin. Judging by his accent I'd place him as being born and raised in High Rock. I don't know what he's doing so far from home though. Speaking of which, I wouldn't be surprised if the Thalmor seek him out to indulge in a bit of interrogation. Better safe than sorry, right?" - Altmer Merchant

"This one hears there is a Heart's Day celebration in Cormount this fredas. He was payed nicely to watch two whole carts of honey through the cave from Willowgrove, something about tyamal-... candy he thinks, and a game? He may return, stay at the Green Leaf and see how these wood elves celebrate. Perhaps their sweets are not so bad as their meatdrinks, yes?"

For the second week in a row, a great caravan of emerald-clad guard and merchants marched forth from the gates of Bandaari Tradepost. With wagons loaded to capacity and spirits high, the crowd traveled without incident through Marbruk and into Woodhearth Open Market with much fanfare, thanks to the impressively armored khajiit that served as the caravan's escort.

After brief instructions were given by an Imperial who some say is the leader of the Sugar Claw Clan, room was made for the caravan's merchants and the Clanguard in green and silver immediately set up market security. The esteemed Clan Mother, J'vani, overlooked the market and it's people from a raised platform in the center of the market, gently shaded by the boughs of a gnarled tree.

With food vendors, gem traders, clothiers and music (including an inspiring rendition of the Undaunted cheer), the Market teemed with people from near and far. During the festivities, the Clan Mother was approached by a dark khajiit and her entourage. Pleasant conversation was had, but the friendly meeting was cut short just before drinks when the dark-furred betmer rushed away without warning, calling for her kin to follow.

The market continued late into the evening, with visitors arriving from across the Dominion to buy and sell. It was noted by onlookers that when the green-clad Sugar Claw Clan left the market on their way back to Bandaari Tradepost, their wagons were empty and coffers quite full.

((OOC stuffs: First off, most wouldn't know what a Wamasu is (at least from my understanding as they're only in Argonia and... that's it really), they'd assume just some overgrown lizard. Second, just message me over Enjin (taking a hiatus from the game so you can't find me there) if your character would want to hunt giant lizards, kill invading species, or... etc. If you want to make it where an NPC is putting a bounty on the Wamasu's head, go for it (I can supply gold in game if you RP that way). Third, if no one responds to the Wamasu he will continue to do... Wamasu things. It'll be a few (IRL) weeks before his pattern changes. Think that's all. Also sorry for not coloring, but I didn't see the reason as each alliance has it's own thread (plus that yellow hurts my eyes -___-). ))

Those who live near the Xylo River (a river in Malabal Tor, near the heart of Valenwood) might have heard of, or even seen, a Wamasu (though most refer to it as “Lizard”). Whispers float across the new Dominion made roads and old Valenwood paths of a fearsome dark-scaled beast with lightning dancing across its back roaming the Xylo. Its proportions vary from rumor to rumor; some say the beast is over three carts long, other tales say it can grow at will, one moment a humble tree-lizard, the next a gargantuan, eh, iguana (apparently). A report from one Khajiit merchant said, “This one thinks Khenarthi mated with a lizard, for that beast had wings!” He was drunk when orating his story.

Other tales speak of what it has devoured; some say it ripped the flesh off the dead Daedric abominations at Abamath, others say it eats deer whole. One said it ate a Bosmer up without blinking (note: Wamasu don’t blink often), though there haven’t been any reports of missing Wood Elves; at least ones that can be attributed to giant lizards.

Whoever tells the story though the beast always heads south, leaving a clear trail (though the trails continuously disappear every other day before being remade) along the bank of the River. It gets to the basin, a bit south of the wayshrine, and then submerges itself in the River. The murky depths can’t be seen through, and no one ever seems to be able to figure out how it gets out; it has never left, just gone in day after day.

Mysterious to say the least these tales float south to Marbruk and Woodhearth, north to Vulkwasten and the coast, and east to the March. Those who are knowledgeable about either the wildlife of Valenwood or Black Marsh would know this beast is not indigenous to the forest. Many seem to not like this giant-lizard in there forest and speak of killing the beast, whether it be for glory or lizard-phobia.

((OOC stuffs: I suppose I should add this just as OOC knowledge. The Wamasu is an acquaintance/friend to my Argonian, Of-Forgotten-Fens; he's a recovering insane person (the Argonian, not the Wamasu). Also all the rumors are hyperbole, the Wamasu is only a juvenile and so he isn't too large (I'm bad with measurements :/ ).))
You may never grasp the complexities of what I do, but at least have the common courtesy to feign something other than slack-jawed oblivion in my presence. I, sir, am a wizard, and I break more natual laws before breakfast than of which you are even aware. -Vaarsuvius, Order of the Stick

Late last night at the Heart's Day celebration in Cormount a handfasting was performed by Greenspeaker Epherus of the Bramblescar Clan, joining The Sugar Claw Clan's Leader, John Wolf, and the Lady Bethany Hawke of the Mage's Guild in marriage. Both bride and groom were clad in the ebon and emerald of the Sugar Claw's colors which shimmered in the muted glow of prayer candles decorating the tree under which they were wed.

A blessing was bestowed upon the joined pair by the Sugar Claw's Clanmother J'vani, wishing them happiness under Jone and Jode. Afterward, a party was held upstairs in the great central tree with drinking, merriment and festival candies.

Members of the Thizzrini Merchant Company, the so-called "Kin" were seen quickly leaving the last Woodhearth market day in a hurry. Word has it that one of their missing members was found somewhere in Reaper's March. Some of their number were seen entering the old bandit fortress of Claw's Strike in the March and many of them came out with wounds. Rumor has it that they've been hitting the bandit and skooma-dealer population in the March pretty hard, what with some strange type of skooma showing up in the area lately. Who knows, maybe one of their group got taken out as some sort of revenge?

*A number of fliers have been put up around the towns in Reaper's March, nailed to posts and signboards.*

Loyal citizens of of Reaper's March,

A dangerous new type of SKOOMA is on your streets. This vile substance preys upon the weak and drives the imbibers mad beyond that of any Skooma fiend.

Beware the dangerous poison! Do not partake of the Skooma trade and it's vile concoctions.

If you see any persons using or selling Skooma, contact your local guard or Thalmor representative immediately!

Over heard at a local market:

"Ah, did you hear? Seems the Mages Guild is trying to be more... proactive in the general community. Holding some kind of lecture or class for basics of some sort of spell casting? Or... was it enchanting? Anyway, it looks rather entertaining. Something about a live demonstration? We should go, should be fun!"

In the slummiest sections of Elden Root, there is talk of a strange not-bosmer woman who calls herself a 'breadguard' and tells outlandish stories that she swears are true. Rumor has it that she's trying very hard to find a bosmer willing to, ahem - 'fuck a deer'.

Among various shady and underworld magical component dealers, someone has been making inquires about purchasing a quantity of infected vampire blood. Particular importance was stressed that each purchase of blood must come from a single source. (Anyone following up on this, please send an in game mail to @eveningshadow)
