Last saturday, Halls of Aldmeris along with the colaboration of the Order of Silver Knights, held a mission in Cyrodiil to rescue Estarya—the missing agent of the Prismætt—from a group of nord cultists who pretended to sacrifice her on the last day of the Midyear Mayhem for necromantic purposes.
Led by Captain Merylas, the rescue team fought against their enemies on a small island located in the Niben river. However, once the nord leader died, a mysterious figure showed up, biting the neck of Estarya and disappearing right away.
Back in Dominion Lands, the team found rest within the home of a priest. Where they took care of their wounds. Specially, the ones from Estarya and Commander Irien.
Sometimes even a secretive group of shady bosmers can hold an open lesson for the good people of Tamriel. Now even more with the mysterious appeareance of the new village of Mossburrow in Grathwood.
The healer and surgeron, known as Syl the Owl, held a first aid lesson to those who were interested in the matter.
The class included how to treat someone who is not breathing by chest compressions and blowing air into their lungs, how to position people with possible cervical spine injuries, and how to treat wounds with heavy bleeding.
This saturday, the Heralds of Agea were seeking a khajiit relic the Mages Guild of Rawl'kha was looking for in the region of Reaper's March. To reach the treasure though, the scholars, guards—and other fellow travelers they found along the road—had to follow the khajiit statues spreaded all over the landscape, solving the many riddles each one of these held, that would finally lead them to the real location of the treasure behind one of the many crumbling temples of the area.
Today on the 11th of Sun’s Dusk (11/11/2017), the newly forming khajiiti guild, the Konozay Khaja, got a special treat! Initiate member Do’Dazur, hailing from the Temple of Two Moons, offered to host a session where he displays and teaches some foundational elements of his close-quarter combat style of Rawlith Khaj. The combat style, according to Do’Dazur, heralds the power and stability one gains when the full extent of one’s body is used for both sleek defence and swift offense. It is a primarily weaponless system or martial arts, relying on one’s joints and claws. Aside from the skilled few within the guild, such training can be quite useful to the Konozay members.
Attendees first cleared and focused their minds at the guild’s shrine, thinking of memories that relaxed and attuned them to their bodies and surroundings. This first session was just for learning stability in one’s stance, and using the most of that founding for well thrown blunt attacks. For when one throws a sleek punch, it should have the strength of Nirn which supports one’s feet! And remember to keep both your stance and your guard paw up when striking!
Shai-ra, primarily a scholar and mage, was an excellent beginner that with his great intellect managed to pick up the basics quite easily. Saahna, a khajiit hailing from the heartland of Cyrodiil, was already familiar with the combat style of the Imperials and made great bounds of progress! Yuni, perhaps the smallest participant as a Dagi-raht, also did quite well for one who’s fighting experience is unknown. Ahzri and Syrrveliza, both skilled warriors with multiple entries in inter-alliance fighting tournaments, remained in the back of the class to merely observe.
The class was short, for the guildmembers had made arrangements to go to the Rawl’kha inn for refreshments with friends (ADRP’s Tavern Tales hosted by @Catowl).
However, do come to future lessons, walker! It may one day save your tail. Do’Dazur would insist that anyone interested in becoming a student to come speak with him!
On the 12th of Sun’s Dusk (Nov 12th 2017) the members of the Konozay Khaja and a few unaffiliated brave souls took up arms and went to the aid of the Pa’Alat people. The small town in Reaper’s March had become overrun with giant scorpions, and the inhabiting soldiers felt no need to bare their puny claws. So the people took to the neighboring towns and local guilds! Fliers and missives requesting for help were sent out into the surrounding region, advertizing a gold reward to all those that help in exterminating the oversized pests.
Those of the Konozay, including Shai-ra, Yuni, Saahna, and Ma’Jack, split evenly for those actually fighting and those providing healing support and anti-venom. Two mysterious dunmer joined the troupe, one providing little words but many blades and went by the name of Sadryn while the other provided more haunting and disturbing quips than any actual aid (aside from saving Sadryn from Scorpion venom). There was even a Thalmor officer in the midst of battle! Kaseylia saw to aid the other healers in keeping the fighters alive.
It was difficult-- many were hurt-- but everyone pulled through in the end. Once all the scorpions were dead, they headed back to Pa’Alat to enjoy a well deserved drink and their reward of 200 gold each.
There are no portraits of the epic battle because our usual scene painter, Illuyin, was too busy running away from haughty scorpions. You understand.
