A small band of Ordinators were seen departing Vivec City and heading towards Suran in the early hours of the morning. Apparently according to the numerous farmers in the area, these Ordinators are there to bolster up defenses in Suran or not, as it seems everyone has a different meaning to what they could be doing.

The Death of a Murderer

For several months throughout Vvardenfell's increasing turmoil, a newly-arisen serial murderer had begun the laborious process of swiftly and effortlessly executing various Telvanni familial members, on an act of pure vengeance. This murderer was utilizing face-stealing methods learned by Telvanni slavers in Black Marsh, who had studied the same magics employed by the Aldmeri Dominion, in order to get close to people. This included posing as a wizard's mouth, a mother's long-lost child, and even a wizard's son's lover. Each time, they posed as someone who had been recently murdered, only tracked through various visitor logs displaying names of people who should've been long dead.

After much investigation by the Order of Saint Veloth, the Ardent Armigers, and personal investigations of Theldyn Berendas, they have come to discover that Theldyn's sister, Dreyla, was the culprit the entire time, after learning through an ancestral communion that his sister was, in fact, still alive, previously thought to have been one of the murders committed by the serial killer in question. The siblings' deceased mother had actually been poisoned by a Telvanni splinter agent who had planned to thwart a Hlaalu council, and mistook their mother for the wife of a Councillor. Once learning of this, Dreyla vowed to ensure that all other Telvanni wizards would know the same pain, seeking to murder wives, children, and anybody close to the various wizards of Telvanni.

Theldyn and a group of stalwart soldiers confronted Dreyla at a favored childhood hangout spot for the siblings, where Theldyn learned everything for the first time. The mer demanded an honor duel, ensuring that his family name would not be sullied if he was to be the one to personally execute her. However, it did not go according to plan.

After a quick battle, Theldyn was killed, Dreyla's blade piercing the underside of his chin and stabbing through his skull, ending the life of the poor mer. Dreyla was beset upon by a mob following the death, her form rather unrecognizable after the fact. The Ardent Armigers and the Order of Saint Veloth sought to clean the grisly scene, ensuring that Dreyla would be made into a bonewalker, and that Theldyn would receive proper burial rights.

Despite the tragedy, Vvardenfell could live a little safer, knowing that a serial murderer's spree was at an end. Captain Rothys Venim, an Ordinator of War from Suran, would have informed anyone and everyone that might've lost somebody to this vicious spree of the events that transpired.

Rumor is that not long ago, a band of warriors and mages, the Ardent Armigers and their allies, set off from Suran and traveled to the ancient ruins of Ald Sotha with purpose and conviction. Word is that they were spurred on by a strange vision to save one of their own there, who had been lost to the daedra many months prior.

C56laI0.png

The ruins of Ald Sotha are known to be overrunned with vicious creatures; the likes of scamps, clannfear, and the fearsome hunger. To delve deeper into there must've been a road of violence and bloodshed.

Few know of what lies within the old city; whether it is ancient treasures, forgotten secrets, or dark cults. The rumor is though that they encountered a Oblivion gate, one that would lead into the realm of Deadlands.

4ICIIel.png

Not much is known of what met them in the land beyond, though the Mehrunes Dagon's realm is known to be a place of fire and brimstone as far as the eye can see.

lv29EXe.png

What is known however is that they met very little resistance there; a peculiar notion for the home territory of the Daedric Prince of Destruction. Though when the band entered, it seemed as if the greatest of the fighting had past, and all that met them were scores of the bodies of defeated daedra and fallen mortals.

Among the Dremora, it is said there was a rebellion among their mortal captives. Members of the Fighter's Guild, Mage's Guild, and elsewhere had risen up against their imprisonment and sought to escape the realm of Oblivion. All had died in this noble endevour. All except one. This sole survivor was a dunmer who had been trapped in the Deadlands many months prior, a warrior by the name of Tarelith Sero.

When the band returned to Suran, they had Tarelith among them. He was scarred, wounded, and emaciated from the time he had spent within the Deadlands and so was brought to the local healing clinc to recover.

It was not long however before Tarelith Sero was spotted on his feet once more, armored and prepared to face the challenges of Tamriel once more. He is not without his scars however. Physically he bears a burn mark across the left side of his face, one that he covers with a blue tattoo. If the dunmer suffers mentally from his harrowing experience however, he hides it well.

Bounty boards contain a new offering from the esteemed Councilor Arvel of House Hlaalu, of five thousand drakes to any who can provide information on 'their' whereabouts or names, all in relation to the circumstances of the death of the Concilor's son, Llaros. Three well-drawn portraits are hung separately below the notice.

A number of rumors are circulating around Vvardenfell and afar of the large gathering that was called at the Library of Vivec to discuss the ‘Grand Expedition’ that is being held. Aicantar the Artificer, the Dwemer scholar leading the expedition, will be the one hosting this at the Library of Vivec through the permission of the Tribunal Temple. Any interested in joining the expedition are encouraged to attend tomorrow night.

>> A Job notice was posted up upon one of the cluttered boards in Suran.

"Looking for work!
"Skilled and unskilled labor."

" Khajiit Female. Tall with strong build. Experienced with Boating, Logging, Hunting, Construction and other physically demanding jobs. Experienced with bandit and robber tactics, can provide escort and protection with local guide, or discrete courier services. Also available for House Work. Cooking, Cleaning and other menial task. Send post to Jyta Wintersun, or come to Desele's House of Earth Delights in the evenings."

"Familiar with local customs, but willing to learn more. Seeking tutor, will pay or exchange services for work."

_________________

>> However, another, completely different flyer was posted. This time inside Tel Naga..

"Escaped or disobedient Slaves? Human Cargo stolen by Bandits?"

"Tired of these problems, and others? Perhaps just need a reliable guard to watch your workers? Need someone to hold a slave while you find a buyer? Short-term storage is offered! Payment is completely negotiable, and all services are open to discussion.

"Can guarantee expert services! As experienced with both the tactics of bandits and smugglers who may have kidnapped your property, will make for swift return of your rightful belongings. As well as the added benefit, of no charge to you, of being a female Khajiit. Which will allow for clumsy slaves who think more with their pants to speak freely* of any plots, as well the potential of any escaped slaves being more trusting to be fooled back into returning."

"If interested in services, questions or other inquiries. Leave a message at The Gateway Inn address to Jvenetta to arrange an in-person meeting."

* Does not speak Ta'gara.

For anyone who knew the Khajiit in question, the notes seemed to be far to well-written to have been done by her hands.

(Contact @Skarphedinn ingame for additional information or inquiries.)

After the gathering for the expedition last night, a note was found resting on one of the tables in the Library of Vivec written in Dwemer alphabet letters, though scholars there noted that the translation formed Tamriellic words.

Further, it would appear whoever had written the strange note left their signature...

Those recently arriving in Vvardenfell, be wary what you pray to the so-called Three. You may see Almsivi as gods and not political figures, but they are simply Mer, no less liars or murderers than the rest of us who stay in the shadows. The only difference being their treachery gave them great power, but their lack of responsibility will be revealed with Lord Nerevar's return.

Fliers posted around Vvardenfell, generally on notice boards away from the prying eyes of Ordination:
Quote:
Wanted: Babies

Do you have an unwanted little one? Is your infant keeping you up at night and you don't know what to do?

We will gladly purchase your babies at a competitive market rate. Pregnancies welcome. Parents of children over the age of six weeks need not inquire.

Interested parties should send details, including child age or due date, as well as race and family medical history, to Tel Ravah's temporary headquarters in the Ascadian Isles, care of the Spellwright. All sales final.

A handwritten note has been scribbled in the bottom margin: "Children will be provided a loving home!"
