NAME Talisan at-Sebai |RACE Redguard |GENDER Male OCCUPATION Proxy Baron / Thief |AGE Early Twenties |EYES Blue SKIN Coffee-cream |HAIR Black |HEIGHT 6' 3" BUILD Toned |BIRTH SIGN The Tower
The eldest son of the at-Sebai Adham family is a tall, robust man in the prime of his life. He keeps his black hair somewhat long, both to shield his skin from the sun, but also to hide the deep scar that runs over his left eye -- the result of a training accident when he was in his teen years. He sports his father's blue eyes, but his mother's paler skin, giving him a copper complexion. Like his father, he prefers facial hair, and has grown his out a little bit in a well-trimmed style.
When at his mother and father's side in their court, he wears fine silks and dapper attire, but he'd just as soon run off in casual wear whenever he can get away with it. He prefers the feel of cotton and leather as opposed to fancy fabric, and feels at home when he's in his hunting gear astride his faithful steed, Mirias. Regardless of what he is wearing, he always has a blade-shaped earring in his right ear, which was a gift from Razir, the Sebaian captain of the guard upon reaching eighteen years of age.

The first born son of Ahnush at-Sebai and Jamal Adham, Talisan was treasured from day one as the heir to his mother's wealthy barony. He grew up on the island of Sebai, and while he had a pleasant and enjoyable youth, he was also expected to have an education that his younger siblings were not required to go through to prepare him for his birthright. He studied law and politics alongside his younger brother, Kosai, however, who was expected to take over their father's barony of Almakah upon Jamal's retirement.
Their paths diverted when Talisan was sent away to study in Sentinel and then in Daggerfall for two years at the age of twelve, where he further learned of politics and customs beyond those of Sebai's. By the time he was fifteen, he had traveled all over the western half of Tamriel, furthering his cultural education. Throughout his travels, he found a deep love for learning everything he could, and soaked up history, art, and music from all over the world. When he returned home, he continued his interest in such matters, and apprenticed himself to various artisans and scholars within Sebai to further his intellectual education while his parents began teaching him the art of battle.
At sixteen, while training with his friends for Sebai's annual jousting tournament, Talisan was struck in the face by a lance. It was mere luck that saved his life and his eye, but it left a rather deep scar across his left cheek and brow. He was comatose for two weeks before he finally came back around with medical assistance, much to the relief of his family. While somewhat embarrassed by the scar itself, Talisan was back in the saddle in no time and competed the next year. He has never missed a joust since, determined to prove to himself that he can do it and overcome his fear of being hit again.
Now, at twenty-one, he is preparing to take over the Barony of Sebai in the stead of his mother, and has taken up the mantle of proxy baron while Ahnush has been ordered to bed rest to prevent further complications in an already difficult pregnancy. He is handling the upcoming responsibility well and is prepared to do what he must to lead his people and uphold the at-Sebai legacy.
Like his mother before him, and her ancestors before her, Talisan has inherited the title of Jackal of the Alik'r with her semi-retirement. While he is not the official Jackal just yet, he is in training and his progress is monitored closely by his mother as he begins to lead the Cistern and the criminal empire his family has established. However, he does have a long road ahead of him to earn the trust of his mother's associates and do them all proud as her successor.
Talisan follows in his mother's footsteps by being a noble and fair leader, looking to her example as he grew into the man he is today. His sense of loyalty to his future people and barony is strong and like his mother before him, he would put his life on the line to protect them.
Talisan is more religious than his parents, having spent time abroad and learning of other cultures. He believes in many divine beings, finding how across the many lands he's been to, many of the gods and beliefs of them are nearly identical. While he was living among the various peoples of his educational travels, he learned of their religious customs and practices so that he might better respect them.
While he may seem all business at first glance, however, Talisan adores having fun, and spends his free time exploring the barony with his siblings and friends. He escapes on horseback whenever he can, and rides along the golden beaches of Sebai, dreaming of setting sail again to travel once more. He gets along best with his adopted brother, Tui-jo, a Khajiit his mother had brought home in his youth. The pair of them talk endlessly of their numerous journeys overseas, and their experiences in new lands. He is athletic as well, participating in sports and tournaments to bring glory to his family name -- and enjoy himself, of course!
Being a youthful man, sometimes Talisan's pride can get the better of him. He has a difficult time walking away from a situation in which his honor or bravery is contested, and it's ended him up in a few scrapes in the past. It's a fault he is acutely aware of, and has been trying harder to not let his pride get in the way of sound judgement.
Horses - Like all of his family, Talisan adores horses and respects Sebaian horse culture. His own steed, Mirias is an extension of himself, and he refuses to ride any other horse but her.
Clay-shaper - Talisan's favorite pastime involves getting his hands dirty -- literally. While on his travels, he became apprenticed to a potter and ever since, he's been shaping clay. He sells them on occasion in the market under a merchant's guise, but he'd love to have his own shop someday that he can run.
Outdoorsman - Talisan loves getting out into nature. Whether it's riding his horse on the beach, hunting with his family and peers, or keeping a log of all the different kinds of birds he finds in Tamriel, wherever there is outdoor space, Talisan is sure to be there.
Dog Breeder - One of Talisan's favorite hobbies is hunting, and so he takes great pride in breeding hunting dogs to accompany him or other nobles for the thrill of the chase. He has his own trusty hunting dog, a golden retriever named Kavei, who is the proud sire of more than half of his bred pups.
Sportsman - A man who loves sports as much as anything else, Talisan thoroughly enjoys the annual Sebaian Tournament. He partakes in all of the sports, but his favorite is most certainly the joust. He's never won, but he has aspirations to someday as he further perfects his technique and form.
